Last month I was able to go away for a weekend trip to Las Vegas to celebrate my friend Meredith's 30th birthday. In addition to participating in the standard Vegas activities of eating my weight in food and winning $37 at a roulette table (!!!!!!!!), we also drove to the Grand Canyon (a first for me!) and saw Becca, my talented friend from college, perform in "Rock of Ages" at the Venetian.
